"Deepwood"

The Deepwood Queen Anne Estate was built in 1894 for Dr. Luke A.
Port. William C. Knighton designed it. Some of the things
featured at Deepwood the Povey Brothers stained glass windows, the
dark wood interior. the beautiful formal England gardens, and the
Rita Steiner Frey nature trail. The house and the gardens were
listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. Deepwood was
named after The Hollow Tree and Deepwoods Book by Albert Bigelow
Paine.
