Blending tip

 

This is a interesting way to blend pigment that really gives a unique feel. Apply rich strokes of colors next to each other without blending. You'll end up with little piles of pigment. The paper needs to be flat for this to work.

This is done on La Carte paper. Next I take the palette knife and squeeze the pigment into the paper. the color will intermingle at the edges

I used this technique exclusively in my "Primary Pears" painting
